和を感じさせるブランドコラボ! UBIQ X VANS VAULT “THREE TIDES TATTOO” COLLECTION

ユービックとヴァンズ（ヴォルト）というブランド同士のコラボレーションが実現

Translated as “Scenes of the Floating World,” Ukiyo-e is a woodblock printing art form long practiced in Japan. Known for its vibrant colors and distinct lines, the prints often shared common depictions of samurais, geishas, dragons and battle scenes as well. Usually done on paper, but then there are skillful artists like Hiroshi Hirakawa (of Three Tides Tattoo), who put his masteries onto living canvas instead. This was also the reason why UBIQ asked the Osaka-base tattoo artist to create one-of-the-kind design for its Holiday 2013 Collaboration with VANS Vault. Donned in between its black suede panels, the illustration on the VANS Vault Sk8-Hi LX depicts a skyward battle between an ensnaring mountain dragon and a samurai with his boatload of VANS sneakers. The duel continues onward to the canvas upper of VANS Vault Era LX in full proportion.

Both part of the UBIQ x VANS Vault “Three Tides Tattoo” Collection for Holiday 2013, the two-piece release will be available in November through select VANS Vault dealers and UBIQ’s storefront in Philadelphia.
